Copper Fittings – Types and Applications

Elbows: Copper elbows are engineered to alter the direction of piping systems efficiently while minimizing space requirements. The most commonly used are 90° and 45° radius elbows, which provide smooth directional transitions. Specialized elbows with varying radii are also available to meet unique design or spatial requirements.

U-Bends: Designed to facilitate coolant return flow or achieve a 180° rotation within compact spaces, U-bends are essential in heat exchangers, condensers, and evaporators. We manufacture both standard and expanded U-bends to suit specific industrial and HVAC applications.

Couplings: Couplings are used to join two copper tubes of the same diameter. For pipes of differing sizes, reducing couplings are provided, enabling seamless connections without compromising system integrity.

Tees: Tee fittings, shaped like the letter “T,” allow the creation of branch connections from a continuous pipeline. Variants include:

Reducing Tee: One end of the tee has a smaller diameter, enabling connections between pipes of different sizes.

Cross Tee: Designed to join four pipes when the vertical section is threaded, providing multi-branching capabilities. Tee fittings are among the most versatile and widely used fittings in copper piping systems.

Reducers: Copper reducers are specifically designed to join two pipes of different diameters in a single fitting. Standard sizes include 1/2" x 3/8", 1/2" x 1/4", 5/8" x 3/8", 5/8" x 1/4", 3/4" x 1/2", 5/8" x 1/2", 1" x 3/4", 1" x 1/2", and custom sizes as per client specifications.

Non-Standard / Custom Fittings: Navkar Metal Syndicate also offers bespoke copper fittings, manufactured according to customer designs and specifications.
